Sour describes the aggravation derived from
shallow characters pre-conceptually generalising or
judging you, and mistakenly thinking they’ve
‘figured you out’. If you’re someone who has been
alienated, demonised or simply bullied for being
who you are, I hope this song gives you some
comfort. But a big thank you, to the perpetrators
who inspired us to write this song, I hope you listen
to it.
lyrics
V1
I don’t seem to matter in many different ways
People have an issue, I wish they’d say
It’s not like they’re mean but they don’t seem that keen
To have me around, say my name out loud, or be seen
V2
Fighting the urge to say some words
That aren’t very nice and contain much hurt
Assumption and proof are two different things
My mind has insecurities that hurt and sting, they sting
Chorus 1
People get unhappy when they meet
Something they’re used to, I feel the unease
You’re tearing me down, over tedious frowns
And I feel the sour of your foul anger, over me
V3
I love so hard with all my bones
And I stay loyal until I am thrown
That’s my mistake, I guess you could say
But apathy, it just isn’t me yeah, I believe
Chorus 2
People get unhappy when they meet
Something they’re used to, I feel the unease
You’re tearing me down, over tedious frowns
And I feel the sour of your foul anger, over me
Bridge
Outro/Chorus 3
I’m something you’re not used to,
I feel your unease
You’re tearing me down, tearing me down, tearing me down
And I feel the sour of your foul anger, over me

Discovered Mia a few years ago and immediately fell head over heels in love with the album, so I knew I wanted this for my growing CD collection bikinigrrl
Like someone lit a fire underneath them, this album roars off at speed and never really pauses for breath.
Jessica's guitar continues to be the big draw, as she's just brilliant. Raw and angry.
Their masterpiece. Neil Larrisey
